The Best Way To Make Money

As bad as the economy and job market is, it's causing more and more people to entertain the thought of finding different ways to make money. We all have our wants and needs, so we want to know how to make money so we can have the things we desire. Before you begin your money making journey, you should arm yourself with the right information. Ask yourself the question, "Do I want to spend the rest of my life chasing money or do I want to let my money work for me and create passive income?" The latter statement is the one you're after. If you spend your waking hours running after the next great thing that will make you money, you'll quickly burn yourself out as well as burn through a right smart of your existing money. So no matter how many good ways are presented on how to make money, you will still paint yourself in a corner if you don't strive to learn this secret that all successful people know.

That secret is rather than being on the working rat wheel that most people are on, that being, wanting to find ways to earn money; what you should be wanting to know is how to use money. If you figure this out, your money and means dilemma is history. It's what makes the rich richer. It's the difference between a working stiff who is living paycheck to paycheck and the one who has a job but their money seems to never run out. They may have the same job and salary as you but they get to enjoy perks that only the elite have access to. In an article on this site, I gave an example of a guy I knew in the eighth or ninth grade. There was a discount store located directly behind our school. We weren't allowed to go off the property, but when has that ever stopped a young teenager? Anyhow, he would take his allowance and any money he got from adults and buy packs of hubba bubba bubble gum; yes, I know I'm dating myself.

That bubble gum wasn't the only gum available, but it was unique in that it came in a pack consisting of five or six square pieces. It was also flavored in different tastes. The wrapper was brightly colored with kid drawing attractive bubble fonts. The scent was strong in the pack and when you chewed it. The makers of the product already spent the money on advertising and packaging. At the time, the bubble gum was around fifty cents a pack. This guy would buy about five or six pack of the stuff and sell individual pieces for a quarter. Think about it. You could get six squares for fifty cents yet because of scarcity on campus and all the alluring features it had, it was an easy sell. The stuff involved practically every sense we humans use. The sight was pleasing, so was the smell and taste; and the touch of that bigger than life square of bubble gum made you feel you had something better than what the norm was. Those teenagers were like shooting fish in a barrel.

Anyway, at twenty five cents a pop, this guy was making a dollar for every fifty cents he put out. That kind of return on your money is not seen by some multi-billion dollar corporations of today. Some would kill to see a couple pennies earned on what they put out. You have to understand accounting more to see how that works. It's the old illustration where someone asks you if you would like one hundred dollars now or a penny doubling itself for thirty days. To the unknowing, they would go after the one hundred dollars, but those in the know understand that you get hundreds of thousands of dollars at the end of thirty days of a penny doubling itself. Anyway, the above story shows the power of knowing how to use money. You can take that example and use it to change your family tree.

The best part about knowing how to use money is you don't have to actually have any of your own money to do it. If you do use your own money, another beauty is you don't have to have a lot to get a lot in return. If you learn this, you will have people  begging you to take their money and use it for them...at a fee for you of course. This is why money is sometimes called seed money or seed capital. If you know how to use it properly, you can turn that small investment into a colossal gain. I remember a guy who had a hat shop. He sold all types of hats for men. I worked in a shoe store. A customer who bought a hat from him purchased a pair of shoes from my place of work. I up sold him on a can of water repellent spray for the type of shoes he purchased and as a kicker, I sprayed his first treatment with the example can we use to show proof of how the stuff works.

When I showed him how little it took to treat his shoes and what interval he should treat them. He was amazed. The 10-12 oz can we sold was around four dollars. He told me the guy who sold him the hat talked about the water repellency protection and offered to spray some on his new hat to get him started. However, the hat shop owner charged him one dollar to spray his hat. Now I stated in another article about selling a solution to a problem as the best way to get clients for your product or service. No one wants a wet hat that will get moldy, smelly, spotted and lose its shaped if gotten wet repeatedly. So why not spring for protection for a buck? Think about it. The average cost of a can of water protectent is four dollars. For the average hat, you could probably get around at least twenty five sprays out of that can. You paid four dollars for the can and got twenty five dollars in return. That's a profit of twenty one dollars.

I understand that impatient souls will say they have to wait too long to get the twenty four dollars out of the four dollar investment when they can just go out and work a quick job and make the same amount. That's true, but you have to take all things into consideration. Remember what you're trying to do. You want to know how to use money. Once you learn how to use money properly, what you want to do is UPSCALE the process. When you do that, you'll see the explosive impact to the system and will never want to go back to using brute force to make money ever again. Why would you want to? You should also see how you're actually losing massive amounts of money in the long run. Yes, my friend. You need to focus on how to use money rafter than how to make money.
